A base card from Upper Deck’s 2024 Batman 85th Anniversary set, featuring The Joker as drawn by Brian Bolland, the artist behind the legendary The Killing Joke. The set was never sold in stores. It was released only through Upper Deck e-Pack over five weeks, with a new drop every Thursday at noon Pacific from November 14 to December 12, 2024. Each week was limited to just 5,000 two-card packs, capped at 5 packs per transaction, so these physical cards are much scarcer than typical base cards. Every week had its own theme: historic comic covers, the movies, iconic villains, The Animated Series, and finally the Batmobile and other vehicles. This card comes from the Week 3 Iconic Batman Villains drop, which covered cards #21 through #30 of the 50-card base set. The Joker flashes his unsettling grin, slicked green hair swept back, as he raises a gloved hand in a theatrical gesture. He wears a purple suit with a loose ribbon tie and a white carnation on his lapel. The art is framed by a sleek silver and gold Art Deco border topped with the classic yellow Bat-Signal logo, and the back carries the official Batman 85 Years logo.
