1994 Krome Lady Death Series 1 #81 Diva of Death Holochrome Factory Kirk Lindo

Lady Death bursts from a tangle of cobwebs with wild flowing white hair and a tattered crimson cape on this Holochrome version of card #81, "The Diva of Death," from the 1994 Krome Productions Lady Death Series I Chromium set. Part of the Calendar Shots subset, the art is by Kirk Lindo and Jason Jensen, done in pencil, ink, and markers. The back includes a fun Chaos! Comics comment noting that Kirk was also the publisher of Brainstorm Comics, calling him an artist to watch.

This Holochrome version was not inserted in hobby or retail packs. Holochrome base cards were only available in the Lady Death Series I Commemorative Edition factory set released by Krome Productions in 1994. That limited boxed set included the full 100 card base set in Holochrome, 5 Necrochrome chase cards, and 1 bonus card, making Holochrome singles much tougher to find than the standard chromium versions pulled from packs.

A great pickup for Lady Death and 90s Chaos! Comics collectors, or anyone working on the Holochrome set.
