2010 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 5 #28 Asajj Ventress Anakin Grant Gould

Anakin Skywalker clashes with Asajj Ventress in this dynamic piece by Grant Gould from the New Visions subset of 2010 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 5. Gould captures the moment right after Ventress gives Anakin his famous facial scar, with Anakin lunging forward, lightsaber raised, as the hooded Ventress taunts him with her red blades glowing. On the back, Gould explains that he drew inspiration from the duel in the Star Wars: Republic #71 comic, set between Episode II and The Clone Wars, and wanted to put his own spin on how Anakin may have looked during that era. The back also features Gould's original pencil sketch of the artwork, a great look at the piece before color.
