2023 Allegiance AVX Cosmic Journey PJ11 Age of Apocalypse 5 Black & White ePack PSA 9
A PSA 9 Black & White version of the A Cosmic Journey insert from 2023 Upper Deck Allegiance Avengers vs X-Men. This card was never inserted in packs. It’s an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement exclusive that collectors could only earn by combining ten digital cards and having the physical card shipped to them, so far fewer exist than the standard insert. It features Chris Bachalo’s art from X-Men: Age of Apocalypse (2005) #5, showing Jean Grey with glowing white eyes, rising in a sleek bodysuit as a burst of cosmic Phoenix energy explodes behind her. The black and white artwork is printed on rainbow foilboard, so the whole card has a rainbow sheen when it catches the light. The back explains that in a bleak alternate reality, Mr. Sinister stole Jean Grey’s body and revealed to the X-Men that the Phoenix was alive and well and fighting on his team, the Sinister Six. It also notes that Bachalo started with Marvel in 1992 and went on to co-create the Generation X series. A great pickup for Phoenix and Jean Grey collectors, Age of Apocalypse fans and Chris Bachalo collectors.
Pull Odds: Not available in packs; earned only through an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement by combining ten digital cards. (The standard A Cosmic Journey insert is 1:5 hobby and e-Pack.)
A PSA Mint 9 is a superb condition card that exhibits only one of the following minor flaws: a very slight wax stain on reverse, a minor printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Centering must be approximately 60/40 to 65/35 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the reverse.
