2023 Allegiance AVX Cosmic Journey PJ18 Uncanny X-Men 356 B&W ePack PSA 9
A PSA 9 Black & White version of the A Cosmic Journey insert from 2023 Upper Deck Allegiance Avengers vs X-Men, and the final card in the 18 card set. This card was never inserted in packs. It’s an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement exclusive that collectors could only earn by combining ten digital cards and having the physical card shipped to them, so far fewer exist than the standard insert. It recreates the classic 90s Uncanny X-Men (1963) #356 cover, with Jean Grey leading the team in her Phoenix uniform beneath the iconic X-Men logo while Cyclops fires an optic blast and Beast charges through crumbling rubble. The black and white artwork is printed on rainbow foilboard, so the whole card has a rainbow sheen when it catches the light. The back explains that, at Scott Summers’ request, the X-Men visited him and Jean in Alaska, where Scott revealed he was worried about Jean, who had started wearing her old Phoenix uniform again. It also credits Chris Bachalo, who worked on many X-Men comics and co-created Generation X. A great pickup for Jean Grey and Phoenix collectors, 90s X-Men fans, and Allegiance set builders.
Pull Odds: Not available in packs; earned only through an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement by combining ten digital cards. (The standard A Cosmic Journey insert is 1:5 hobby and e-Pack.)
A PSA Mint 9 is a superb condition card that exhibits only one of the following minor flaws: a very slight wax stain on reverse, a minor printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Centering must be approximately 60/40 to 65/35 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the reverse.
