2023 Allegiance AVX Cosmic Journey PJ7 Uncanny X-Men 511 B&W ePack PSA 9
A PSA 9 Black & White version of the A Cosmic Journey insert from 2023 Upper Deck Allegiance Avengers vs X-Men. This card was never inserted in packs. It’s an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement exclusive that collectors could only earn by combining ten digital cards and having the physical card shipped to them, so far fewer exist than the standard insert. It features Greg Land’s art from Uncanny X-Men (1963) #511, showing a glowing-eyed figure in a flowing white dress, hair streaming as she rises through swirling cosmic flames under a starry sky. The black and white artwork is printed on rainbow foilboard, so the whole card has a rainbow sheen when it catches the light. The back tells how Madelyne Pryor went to Jean Grey’s grave to claim a new host body, but Domino beat her there and swapped out Jean’s remains, and when Pryor tried to transform into the wrong host, she died on the spot. It also notes that Land began working for Marvel as a penciller in 1996. A great pickup for Phoenix and Madelyne Pryor collectors, Greg Land fans and classic X-Men collectors.
Pull Odds: Not available in packs; earned only through an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement by combining ten digital cards. (The standard A Cosmic Journey insert is 1:5 hobby and e-Pack.)
A PSA Mint 9 is a superb condition card that exhibits only one of the following minor flaws: a very slight wax stain on reverse, a minor printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Centering must be approximately 60/40 to 65/35 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the reverse.
