2023 Allegiance AVX Cosmic Journey PJ9 Iron Fist 15 B&W ePack PSA 9
A PSA 9 Black & White version of the A Cosmic Journey insert from 2023 Upper Deck Allegiance Avengers vs X-Men. This card was never inserted in packs. It’s an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement exclusive that collectors could only earn by combining ten digital cards and having the physical card shipped to them, so far fewer exist than the standard insert. It features John Byrne’s interior art from Iron Fist (1975) #15, the classic Bronze Age crossover where Iron Fist meets the X-Men. Jean Grey bursts onto the scene as Phoenix, arms raised and hair flying as flames pour off her, while a speech bubble reads “I don’t believe this. Jean and I step out for some last-minute munchies, and we come back to find you staging World War III.” The black and white artwork is printed on rainbow foilboard, so the whole card has a rainbow sheen when it catches the light. The back explains that Jean burst into her apartment with her body blazing and ordered the X-Men to stop brawling, because the man they were fighting wasn’t an intruder but her roommate Misty Knight’s best friend, Iron Fist. It also notes that Byrne was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2015. A great pickup for Phoenix and Jean Grey collectors, Iron Fist fans and John Byrne collectors.
Pull Odds: Not available in packs; earned only through an Upper Deck e-Pack achievement by combining ten digital cards. (The standard A Cosmic Journey insert is 1:5 hobby and e-Pack.)
A PSA Mint 9 is a superb condition card that exhibits only one of the following minor flaws: a very slight wax stain on reverse, a minor printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Centering must be approximately 60/40 to 65/35 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the reverse.
