2026 Mark Spears Monsters Halloween Edition #104 Issue 4 Variant Frankenstein
Frankenstein’s Monster glowers straight at you in this comic cover card from the 2026 Mark Spears Monsters Halloween Edition. The card reproduces a variant cover from Issue #4 of the Keenspot Mark Spears Monsters comic series, a close-up portrait of the Monster with his flat, stitched head, metal bolts, heavy brow, and gritted, yellowed teeth, painted in a wild wash of psychedelic greens, blues, and purples. Faint skulls peek out on either side of the drippy “MONSTERS” logo, and the cover art is framed by the set’s signature orange Halloween border with bare, twisted trees. The back features a glowing green skull, a graveyard full of shambling silhouettes, and the card number on a tombstone, with “Issue 4 Variant” across the bottom.
This is a base card from the 170-card set, so there are no pull odds. Production was small: only 799 Hobby Boxes (10 packs, 200 cards each) and 399 Blaster Boxes (4 packs, 80 cards each) were made. This card also exists in four numbered parallels: Foil /199, Retro Red /299, Black and White /199, and Mini /199.
Mark Spears is an award-winning horror artist, named Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Artist of the Year in 2020. The Halloween Edition was funded on Kickstarter and is his biggest set yet, with 170 base cards featuring covers from the Mark Spears Monsters and The Monster and the Wolf comics, including con exclusives many fans have never seen.
